dear internet,
I love you. Really. But one resolution I'm making for 2005 is to do less late night blog reading and more late night book reading.

I second that!
But wait, what am I doing checking bloglines at 1:13 AM? I better go back to Virginia Woolf's "The Waves" immediately...

Why?
Seriously.

Well, it's not that I want to stop reading blogs, but I want to be spending more time reading books.
Also, I find that my blog reading late at night is desultory at best. I should be reading other people's writing with more attention. The way my brain works, sitting with a book late at night is more likely to result in careful reading than sitting with my laptop.

That's a great idea. Thanks for sharing it. I should log off earlier and climb in bed with a book instead.
